It would be great to see fullsized images. if you have a lot of lenses like me around why changing the system? The files are super sharp! ciao andy So for any questions feel free to get in touch. there are even technicians now which convert bronica lenses for leica S2s:) Yeah who said its not working digital with a bronica.why? Its working great only pay attention to use the newest lense designs. Could post them if somebody is interested. Or you can use with the Hasselblad backs a rotary finder to get portrait mode if you use an etrsi. Or if you have a lot of money a new leaf R-10 or Aptus R12 back with a rotator in the back. What you can do is use the Hasselblad CF- series, Imacon Ixpress series or the newest CFVs. I tried leaf, phase one the are build to high at upper side of the digital backs, to use the prismfinder. It worked like a charme together with the back!īut pay attention you cant use the AE-III finder with any back again with an etrsi only with a sq-ai. Bronica SQ 6圆 Digital Back Adapter Converts your equipment into a high-end digital camera. Okay I have a bronica Etrsi, a 105 4.5 PE macro, 75 mm PE, the 60 mm, 150 mm I tested them last week with a silvestri adapter I got from Photokina, together with a CFV-39 Hasselblad back. Hello there, all this theory around here. Failing that, I'd suggest skipping the back altogether and buy into the Pentax 645D. I'd probably look for a decent Mamiya 645 AF Pro II (or whatever model is compatible) or Hassleblad 503. Regardless, if I were going to buy into digital medium format, I don't think I'd stick with the Bronica system and an adapter. Unless you're heavily into post processing and put a premium on the instant turn-around time a D-back allows, I personally don't see the benefit of a back. But if you can drop a cool $10~15K on a good D-back, what's an extra M-note. It's also worthy to note that medium format digital is primarily for studio use and high-end professional use - you're not going to find one for really cheap because they're not in the same market as the consumer DSLR, not even close.ĭon't forget, you'll need the $200 (or so) wake up cable as well. Leaf used to "make" backs for Bronica, but so far as I know they were just hasselblad fitted backs with an adaptor. ![]() It all depends how much you think your Kidney is worth.Īlthough I do think there is a back that was actually designed for the Bronica SQ camera bodies. I'd like to find a digital back that won't require me selling a kidney. It is a completely modular camera, with several optional focusing prisms and viewfinders (with and without exposure metering), lenses, and film backs. I'd like to be able to FIND a digital back. Introduced in March 1983, the Bronica GS-1 in 6×7 cm format was the largest SLR produced by the company and the first medium format camera with TTL flash metering. Does anybody has a photos taken with digital back? It's interesting to see the fullsize picture.
